Work package 3 of the GMOchips-project:

Low-density Biochips

GMOchips-Logo

Partners involved: FUNDP, LGC, CSIC
Objectives:

Development a low-density biochip to identify and quantify GMOs present in food and plants.

Description of work / tasks:
  • design of the capture probe for each sequence of interest (plant and GMO) and of the internal and external standards; and grafting of them on a glass support.
  • optimisation of the hybridisation conditions according to the sequences and length of both target and capture probes.
  • detection of the the hybridised amplification products by colorimetry.
Deliverables: 4. a low-density biochip for food and plantsmonitoring for the quantification of plants (ingredients) and GMOs.
Milestones and criteria:

5. Design of the low-density biochips:

  • design of the captures probes and their grafting on the chips
  • optimisation of the hybridisation conditions
Interrelation with other workpackages: Analysis of the amplification products obtained in the WP 2.
