Legend Table 20: Genetic elements of virtually all currently approved genetically modified agricultural crops: 35, chicory (ch); 14 - 21, corn; 7 - 16, cotton; 66 - 60 oilseed rape/canola; 26, papaya (pa); 11 - 24, potato; 27 - 8 soybean; 25 - 6, squash; 32, tobacco (tb); 23 - 12 tomato. Numbers 1 to 5 correspond to the number assigned to the respective transgene in Table 3 ( Approved genetically modified crops in the United States) and Table 5 ( Approved genetically modified crops in the European Community) and in the respective data-sheets in the database. IDs are also as given in Tables 3 and 5. Dark and light green shaded areas indicate sequences that are described in petition documents or that have been confirmed to be identical to those. See glossary for abbreviations.
